Absolutely. The Patio Misting System can handle almost any patio height. We offer a variety of misting nozzle sizes to create the perfect mist for any height patio. Most patio heights, 8-12 feet do not need to worry about the height of their patio as the fine mist will dissipate perfectly.
If you have a patio height that is under 9 feet you just have to make some small adjustments to keep your space cool and dry. There are two factors for deciding your misting nozzle size.
First off, the more humid your climate, the smaller nozzle sizes you generally want to use. Think .1mm or .15mm.
As for nozzle height, you will want to similarly do the same if you have a low patio height. Choosing .15mm nozzles instead of .3mm nozzles size creates a less dense, finer mist and allows for faster evaporation before it has a chance to hit the ground.
There is no magic formula to choosing the right nozzle size for The Patio Misting System. Usually the best approach is to mix and match. Some areas you may use larger orifice nozzles and some areas you may use smaller orifice nozzles. This may also change during the summer months. During the very hot middle of summer you may use .2 or .3mm nozzles as it is hot and dry enough to evaporate all the mist. In earlier or later summer months, when it is still plenty hot to require misters, but cooler than the hottest parts of summer, you may want to swap some nozzles out for smaller orifice size.
If you have a patio overhang, pergola or other structure that is 12 or more feet high, then you will want to use larger nozzle orifice. Generally speaking you probably want to go with .2mm, mixing in a few .3mm nozzles as well.
Most of the installations of The Patio Misting System utilize a combination of misting nozzles. All patios are used in different ways. Often you have a area that is more highly trafficked and areas where having a lot of cooling mist is more important. This is where you want .3mm nozzles. Most used area, we like to get the most mist there.
Conversely, there are often areas where you have a need for less mist. Maybe around landscaped areas where there isn't as much traffic, or support beams or near the beginning and end of your nozzle lines. This will be a unique set up for each patio and you know your patio best, so solving for this should be uniquely easier for you. The main point is the larger the orifice size, the most mist will come out. Mixing and matching smaller and larger nozzle sizes will optimize all of the nozzles for mist. You cannot add 40 .3mm nozzles to the system and expect it to have the desired output. But if you add 40 nozzles to your system, using 5 - .3mm nozzles, 15 - .2mm nozzles, and 20 - .15 mm nozzles you will utilize the system properly and have a better overall mist output from each nozzle. There is no magic formula here. The Patio Misting System will handle almost any patio size and is perfect for almost any patio.
The main takeaway here is that no matter what your patio height is, The Patio Misting System can handle it with ease. The modular components of the misting system make it 100% customizable and able to conform to any height, shape or size. The Patio Misting System will work for your patio, your neighbors and your favorite restaurants patio.
