Spacing out the nozzles on your patio misting system is an important factor to proper cooling. Generally we recommend 24" - 30". Read more below for a more detailed explanation.
The question of how far apart to space your patio misting system nozzles is fairly easy to answer. It largely is a personal preference question. We have many customers who want a short distance in their mist nozzles, and some who want more space between their nozzles.
When using the black flexible nylon tubing that comes standard in each misting kit, consider these:
The Patio Misting System offers a stainless steel upgrade option. The main difference with this upgrade is aesthetics. While of course the stainless steel is more durable, the included nylon tubing will last you many many years. Each piece of stainless steel is 30 inches so your nozzle spacing ends up being about 29 inches once the connections are made. The stainless steel can be cut but typically it is not necessary.
We often recommend using both stainless steel and the black flexible tubing together as they are interchangeable and can go back and forth throughout your misting line. Utilizing the black tubing for unique corners, angles, height changes or somewhere you have a need for more flexibility will help you with a smooth and easy installation.
We recommend you use the black flexible tubing from your pump connection all the way to where you will start your stainless steel. Since the black flexible tubing can be easily manipulated, buried, hidden or painted is easier to run it until you want to have the aesthetics of stainless steel with your nozzles.
Stainless steel is offered in 25, 50 and 75 feet increments. As mentioned, each piece is 30 inches long.
